About N26XY

This site details the construction of Lancair Legacy N26XY.

The project was begun in March 2004. A “First Firing” party was held at my home on September 7, 2008 where the engine was started and systems demonstrated for approximately 70 friends, family, and neighbors. The maiden flight occurred August 15, 2009. In August, 2013, N26XY was flown to EAA Airventure in Oshkosh where it won Grand Champion – a Gold Lindy Contained in the albums, are the images, artifacts and memories of my project.
